In the age of Antropocene, human’s activities and decisions have become dominant and
powerfull in shaping ecosystem. Asia, with its large population and rapid economic
growth, stands at the forefront of this transformation and has become a dominant
force that is transforming the Earth's ecosystems significantly. And as the most
populated and highest economic growth continent, Asia is now become the center of
attention in this context. Many challenges posed by the current Anthropocene epoch
require fundamental transformations to humanity's relationships with the rest of the
planet
This conference is aimed to strengthen the study of multi-dimensions of empowerment
in the context of future Asia facing anthropocene encounters. Our concern is to
outlook key issues and to explore various scenarios of solutions on the realm of
anthropocene challenges. Firstly is to explore how the impact of anthropocene to
ecosystems in Asia, including reduced diversity of natural wealth, climate change,
and declining soil quality. Our second concern is about the social and cultural
implications of these environmental changes, including poverty, migration, and
social inequality. Next, we present an overview of empowerment efforts underway
across a range of sectors, from education and technology to public policy and
cross-border partnerships
We highlight the importance of cross-sector and cross-disciplinary collaboration in
addressing the challenges of the Anthropocene. We emphasize the need for integration
between the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities in designing holistic
and sustainable solutions. Through this conference, we offer a framework for the
future empowerment of Asia that focuses on inclusive, sustainable development, and
glorifies cultural and environmental diversity. The conference aims to raise
awareness of the importance of awareness of the complexity of the challenges facing
Asia in the anthropocene era and the need for bold and purposeful collaborative
action towards a better future for the region and the planet more broadly
Concurrently, sustainable development initiatives must integrate efforts across
food, energy, and agrarian sectors to ensure long-term resilience. Amidst these
dynamics, the rise of digital democracy reshapes political participation and
governance paradigms, offering both opportunities and risks. Understanding the
nuances of democratic erosion is essential for fostering resilience and initiating
renewal processes. Sustainable futures hinge on holistic approaches that address
food security, energy access, and agrarian development in tandem, promoting
equitable growth while mitigating conflicts. Meanwhile, the advent of digital
democracy presents novel avenues for political engagement but also necessitates
safeguards against misinformation and digital divides
By navigating these challenges collectively, Asia can chart a path towards inclusive
and resilient governance. Integrating insights from democratic governance,
sustainable development, and digital transformation, stakeholders can work towards
fostering democratic resilience, promoting sustainable development, and harnessing
the potential of digital technologies to advance political transformation across the
region
Researchers who conduct applied and theoretical studies on this subject and
practitioners who produce with digital technologies in all kinds of media are
invited to the conference to present their work. The 'Future Media Landscape'
concept reflects a forward-looking scientific effort regarding the transformative
trajectory of communication forms in the contemporary technological and social
environment. The conference is open to all studies of emerging technologies,
cultural dynamics, ethical concerns, and the complex relationship between media and
democracy. These advances must be evaluated from a technical perspective regarding
content creation, dissemination, and audience engagement. Cultural dynamics examine
the symbiotic evolution of media and culture as an integral element
Research on this subject aims to create ethical frameworks that enable the conscious
integration of emerging technologies into media practices. Similarly, media literacy
and education are crucial in envisioning the 'Future Media Landscape'. As
technological developments leave traditional education paradigms behind,
understanding and improving media literacy is necessary. Scholars should explore
strategies to enhance critical thinking, digital literacy, and media education to
equip individuals with the tools needed to navigate the complexities of the future
media landscape. The conference organized to create an interdisciplinary discussion
platform that combines theory and practice within the scope of media studies. It
includes research on digital texts produced in all kinds of media
City is the main trace that marks human existence in the anthropocene era. On a
global scale, of the world's 5 billion people, 56 per-cents live in urban
environments. In Indonesia, the number of urban residents began to continue to grow,
leaving the number of villagers to continue to decrease. Activity in urban areas
generates 80 percent of the world's economy and uses 70% of the world's energy. The
current development of the city of Jakarta, which is projected to become an
agglomeration of Jabodetabek and Cianjur, in this context, raises questions about
the sustainability and durability of the urban environment and the people living in
it. This development raises important discussion themes such as ecological, human,
and economic relationships of cities, reflecting the resilience and adaptive
capabilities of urban environments in the Anthropocene era. Understanding how the
patterns of urban environment development, urbanization, and ecological dynamics
will provide insight for urban planning and design that is clouded
